Direct answer

How do I deposit funds on Hyperliquid?

Connect a supported wallet, choose a supported collateral asset, and transfer it using the deposit flow in the app. Funds become tradable once the transfer is confirmed on-chain — usually within minutes.

Hyperliquid deposits are on-chain transfers, not custodial account funding. That means the checks that matter are wallet-level: the right network, the right asset, and a wallet you actually control.

Before you deposit

  • Confirm the asset and network in the official app — supported collateral has expanded over time, so check the deposit dialog rather than an old screenshot.
  • If you plan to use a referral code, apply it before trading (deposits do not lock you out, but trades do).
  • Send a small test amount first if this is your first bridge transfer.

The deposit flow

  1. Connect your wallet

Use the official app URL and connect a wallet you have backed up. Verify the domain before signing anything.

  2. Open the deposit dialog

Choose the asset and source network. The dialog shows exactly what is supported right now — trust it over third-party guides, including this one.

  3. Approve and send

Approve the transfer in your wallet and wait for on-chain confirmation. Your balance appears in the app once the transfer finalizes.

  4. Verify your tradable balance

Check the balances view before placing orders, and review the fee schedule while you wait.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a deposit take?

Typically minutes, driven by the source chain's confirmation time. Congestion on the source network is the usual cause of delays.

Is there a minimum deposit?

Minimums, where they exist, are shown in the deposit dialog. Very small amounts may not be economical once source-chain gas is counted.
