Hyperliquid Wallet Security Basics
On a self-custodial exchange, you are the security department. The basics cover most of the risk.
Direct answer
How do I keep my Hyperliquid account secure?
Protect the wallet, not just the app: back up your seed phrase offline, verify the official domain before signing, review token approvals periodically, and use a hardware wallet for meaningful balances.

There is no password reset in self-custody. The wallet that signs your Hyperliquid transactions is the single point of failure, so security work concentrates there.
- Write the seed phrase on paper or metal — never in a screenshot, cloud note or password manager attachment.
- Bookmark the official app URL and use the bookmark. Most losses start with a lookalike domain.
- Treat every unexpected signature request as hostile until proven otherwise.
- Use a hardware wallet once your balance would hurt to lose.
